Trent, I know this it OT but I am trying to decied if I want to go with a Flash or AEM from Dave. I have a full BR Stg. 4, Revolvers, head, and a stock 9 turbo with all the goodies on it. My real question is how has your daily driving been with the AEM? Did you drive it in the winter? TIA, Bret.

Great job ! That's remarkable power for pump gas. Must be a low compression motor to run that kind of boost eh?

something doesn't ad up here. there are good tuners all over the country tuning well setup 35r cars. on straight pump these cars do high 11s at low/mid 120s. 525hp on Daves dyno is a butload of power. my bet is something is being left out but congradulations just the same.

Was it stock ECU? A datalog of it in action with timing, AFR, and airflow would be nice but that would ruin all the fun.

Congrats Trent! So is this the Evo pump gas record? I would say that the car is probably the 4cyl turbo pump gas king when it comes to whp.

The fastest pumpgas 4cyl afaik is the black 2g that went 10.11 @ 135mph, granted it is gutted and alot lighter than Trents evo, so probably less power. It is only a 3052 though too.

Love seeing pumpgas numbers and times. For a person like me that has no easy access to any form of race gas, these are the posts I enjoy.

There is absolutely NOTHING being hidden, NOTHING. The car is running on only 93 octane, has 28 psi of boost, NO octane booster, NO race gas, NO alky injection, NO E85, nothing.

Anyone who doubts bring yourself and group with you for witnesses. We'll drain the tank, go the gas station, get some 93, put it back in the tank and you and your group can go over the entire car with a fine toothed comb. Then when you are done looking and inspecting I will dyno it and prove the 525 whp, after that we can go to the track and prove it there too.

When it is all done all the doubters will be obligated to NEVER question me again and have to flame anyone who does doubt me.

Nick Andy's car that we built last year, made 525 whp too on our dyno on just pump gas.

There is nothing magic or deceiving going on. You have to have the combination of parts right and then of course there is that little matter of tuning the car.

I don't agree that there are good tuners all over the country. There are a few good tuners across the country.

My car and my brothers will make these same numbers on pump gas too. There are many others we have built that will to.

Say what you guys will about Daivd... but I'd bet my *** that if you and "your group" show up at David's shop, it will go down like he says it will.

Now if we can just work on his tact

(disclaimer: David DOES in fact know what he is doing, and this IS a complement based on that PERSONAL belief, excluding representation of Evom of course... like him or not, it's hard to merit-fully question his continuous accomplishments)

All I would like to see is a few datalogged runs of the car, not that I was in doubt - I believe you man,

just curious on the timing, AFR, airflow, knock because of the accomplishment.

What kind of fuel pressure was behind the injectors?

I can post many dyno sheets off the MLR of Evos running 2+ bar of boost on pump gas and making about 600 bhp at the crank. Yes they are all built motors. Yes maybe the CR is less than standard, but doubtful it is very different.

Best pump gas in the UK is Shell V-Power / Optimax which is 99 RON which is equivalent to USA 93 PON.

What should a full weight Evo with 600 bhp at the crank trap and ET?

Are you serious?

David,
Why don't you just post up the AEM Cal file (as well as some of the logs) for all of us to decipher.
