HUGE problem with my EVO8

Alright, I've got 6.5 grand on the odo and have ran the car on 4 seperate occasions. My z06 has withstood a tremendous amount more pressure and mileage before showing any problems.

So here's the problem. The car jerks back and forth when I give it 1/2 to full throttle. I took the car in to the dealership and they hooked up o2 sensors and got a wierd reading in the cat. (something about voltage, i can't remember) Unfortunantly, they didn't know what to do with the car. All they could tell me is they thought it was a misfire problem.

Today I drove around on city streets and highways and found the jerking didn't occur till 2500 rpms and I'd have to hold the gas at or over a 1/2 down for about a second. This causes me to believe something is up with the turbo, but I don't have a boost gauge so I can't tell If its getting full boost.

I hope is this thing isn't a lemon.

yea thats ****ty, not to get off your topic but i think that once the evo's start to see more mileage, more and more people are going to experience problems with the evo (which is the case with many high performance cars) but i think that it is goin to take the Mitsubishi Service workers in the USA awhile to learn these cars becasue Mitsubishi isnt used to working on high performance vehicles (especially turbo motors) and that is why so many of us who payed our hard earned money are being bull****ed at our dealerships about our cars.
...........Just my 2 cents...........

Does the car sound like a harley, like its trying to turn off(lack of power). It could be the timing. Did u install a RPM gauge?

I haven't heard any wierd noises coming from the car while it was jerking, but with the wind it's kind of difficult. I'll listen closely next time. It does feel like it turns off for a fraction of a second and than picks up agian, only to repeat the process. The car is completely stock, and it came with a tachometer. (RPM guage?)

hey i had a similar problem for a while. my car would boost to 4,500-5,200 RPM's and then you could hear and feel the turbo loose all boost all the way till i shifted. Then it stopped. i dont know why? Any one else know what im talking about. you could hear the BOV or maybe wastegate release all the boost.
