Grinding 2nd, some 3rd, and 5th gear.... at 13k miles

Should I take my car in to have them check it out? It's really bad in the morning if I don't let it warm up for a good 5 mins... and even when it's warm it still grinds a lil if I don't shift just perfect... it annoys me as hell as the 1st to 2nd shift feels like it's not meant to go in... I literally have to shove the stick down into 2nd...

I know this topic has been beaten to death but I want to know if mitsu knows about the issue and will fix it no prob asked?

the car is stock by the way with swift springs... is it part of a TSB?

They will fix it if you havent abused the heck out of it. Good luck proving that though.

don't take any chances and put the stock springs on , then take to the dealer and have them cover it under warranty...

Yea take your springs off for sure. When i got my car, it was brand new 400 miles on it, and my 5th gear syncro went and 5th started to grind. Keep in mind it was still in the break in process. Mitsu wouldnt fix it when I first went because they said it was wear and tear. I contacted the head representative in my area and they finally fixed it under warrenty. Just go there and force the issue and if the dealer refuses then go to a higher level of mitsu.

Hope everything works out

you guys forgot to tell him to clean the tar from under his wheel wells and put new tires on it first os those ****** wont do a thing for you.
i have thousands of the same complaints printed
out and mitsu claims its all us drivers faults.
i argued for two weeks with them cuz i honestly
know that i did not abuse my car but because of the road tar from the
recent construction around my house they just
laughed at me......ill get the last laugh
