Intake manifold testing.
Oh, I'm not leaving for the X. I love my RS too much. I hate to get this way off course but a quick point. By 2003 when the current EVO8 came out we were hurting at the shop because the DSM's were dieing off very quickly. We couldn't have made it more than a year or two more without some major cutbacks. The EVO's saved the shop for sure. Now we are still in the heat of the EVO8-9's and busy as hell, plus we all have a great passion for the cars. I just feel like the EVOX is too soon because of that. I'd have like to see them run the EVO9's for a few more years. Oh well. On the business side of things this should make us busier than we ever have been in our history. On a personal side I'd rather just stay steady like we are until I feel there isn't much or anything left to improve on the current cars. I am just about done though. This intake manifold testing should just about finish up every part on the car. I think I've tested everything else. There will be more turbo developments and other things that keep improving but for the most part after this is finished it should be "completely" developed. As I've said before in the past, today is the best time to have a truly reliable 10 second daily driver in the history of the 4g63. Now it is looking like 9's are just as easy. We just need a driver mod so myself and many others can do it too! haha
I'm honestly confused at this point.

Am I missing something here?

Don't be confused, although I know it's easy for you. Go troll on NABR, you belong there. To clear your confusion though, that is either a really old picture from MACHV's site or they never updated the fact that we haven't sold one since 2005. That is the original Magnus intake just like I tested back then and again last week. There, you feel better now, not so confused?
Well this came as quite a shock, why I'm not sure as HKS has proven themselves to be a leader in Japanese motorsports for a long time. I didn't even want to take the time to pull the Kansai intake off our black drag car. I was just going to replace it with whatever I found to work best. Well I am sure glad I decided to test it. Holy crap.
The car made 649 whp/479 ft lbs. That's a gain of 43 whp over stock. Nothing else has even come close.
The losses down low are also some of the smallest of all the intakes.
This is the most expensive intake of all we have tested, it is around $1700. It has an super nice billet adapter to use the stock throttle body with it and we did us the stock throttle body again.
Anyway, here is the dyno sheet. This one is going to be hard to beat.

**NOTES ON INTAKE MANIFOLD. NO EGR PROVISION, NO STOCK MAP SENSOR PROVISION, NO DIPSTICK MOUNTING HOLE. IT IS FLANGED FOR THE Q45 THROTTLE BODY BUT COMES WITH A VERY NICE BILLET ADAPTER TO MOUNT THE STOCK THROTTLE BODY. INTAKE ALSO HAS BOSS ON THE BOTTOM FOR AN ADDITIONAL SET OF INJECTORS. THE INTAKE WILL NOT CLEAR US ABS EQUIPPED CAR WITHOUT REMOVING OR RELOCATING THE ABS. REQUIRES OUR UPPER I/C PIPE TO BE MODIFIED TO FIT.

Also, for anyone not wanting to sort through all of this stuff, here is a direct link to a locked thread on our forums with just the actual testing in it. I am also adding pictures for each part so you all can see what they look like. I am also putting up notes for each intake with anything you will need to be aware of.
