I just want to note that shifting a dry trans will not hurt anything aslong as the shafts arnt spining. Also who did the install? I just cant beleive that the trans wasnt checked through all the gears after assembly. I dont care how good you are or what you know its just a no brainer. I mean its like building a bottem end and not spinning over the crank before trying to start it.

To my knowledge the transmissions are always run through the gears prior to shipping. I talked to John on Thursday afternoon and he had a 102-103 degree fever. So have some patience if you can't get a hold of him immediately.

I did call for 3 days. The car is stuck on the lift at the local shop and they wanted it to be done. The guy answering the phone was very helpful and had great customer service at John's shop. They said they would take care of it so we pulled it back out. I realize these things happen. The owner can't be there all the time. I posted hoping to get a quick fix so I could take the car home. I will continue to use shep for anything tranny or transfer case related in the future.

There is no issue to the OP post. he is not making any deliberate comments to Shep or saying that the trans was crap. All he was doing was asking if we had any different ideas for a quick fix..

Shep does have great customer service, im sure he is taking care of you.

Good luck and keep us posted

Sorry for your problem. We certainly run them on the bench both for shifting and noise before they ship so the issue you are having is very odd. I suspect the shifter assembly has been damaged in shipping but we will get it fixed and back to you asap.

I am back at the shop, last week ...well lets just forget that happened. I had the flu then as soon as I started to get better I got strep throat can just now finally work again.
