Thats because of the extremely high cost of the RR motor. I had a hard time coughing up that money for this block. I was undecided for several weeks on whether not it was going to be worth it or not. In the end I decided to get it anyways. Im hoping it performs up to my expectations.

el brusco, the countdown started almost 2 months ago so now its just starting to get close.

lol ya, I originally was thinking I was going to only do the motor, head, and fcon and spend around 18-20K, then I just started adding one piece after the next and then after one point I was just like, what the hell Ill just finish the entire thing now so I dont have to do anything later. So that led to me spending a fortune on this project. Dont you love how that always happens...

Enjoy saying that now because once your bit, you will be taking that statement back..

If you are like me... which it sounds like you are... you'll be doing something else with the car.

Oh I totally plan on doing more with the car, but I am doing everything possible to the engine as of now. The next mods down the road will include axles, bbk, and full suspension. I just wanted to do everything motor related so I wouldnt have to go back and do anything else.

no, your not spamming at all, thanks for the pics. That makes me sooo jealous, Im expecting mine to come in during the next week or so. Cant wait to compare notes. How high do you plan to rev it to and on what psi?

As an update of my own, a few of the parts are starting to show up. All the HKS FCon stuff is here, Im currently having a custom molding done to fit them in the car. Also as a pleasant surprise, my Sheppard Tranny came in aswell. Here is a teaser pic of the electronics. Ill get pics of the tranny up later this week.

^^^ Very nice units above! Dylan has shown me his EVC before on his IX. That thing is just loaded with features. I'm more of a fan of AEM EMS, but I know he has a very high opinion of the FCON standalone. Sharif will be the real determiner with how well the tuning goes.

Ya the tranny looks perfect. Ive had the tcase, so fortunately I dont have to wait on that. Ive also gotten word from AMS that the motor is complete and ready to ship out. Im just waiting on the HTA 37R to finish the testing phase, and then Ill be sent the 1st one.

I would like to run close to 8900 but I think my tuner is hesitant to rev past 8600. I would also like to push 40ish psi, but will most likely end up around 36-38. We're just going to have to wait and see how everything turns out. Im sure we will edge more and more aggressive with the tuning as we get into it. I really want to see what this motor can do.
