I think it always distribute 50:50, but ACD works like locker.
If You turn off ACD , You will not have only locker.

Zeus1, I hope the replacement pump solves the problem. I had a pump fail and got it replaced under warranty. Maybe a year later the pump failed again but out of warranty. I have ignored it since I don't want to spend the money but if you have luck with the used one maybe I'll go that route. I have also read that since the ABS system is tied into the ACD the issue could actually be an ABS sensor but you'd think the car would tell you a sensor is shot. I'm gonna wait and see a bit longer.

Same problem today at a nasa event. have been tracking my car hard lately, came into a quick left hit the apex a bit then went to hit the brakes for a hard right and locked all four up. looked down and all acd light were on!

Hopefully something stupid iff not new pump here we go....
