robert,

What about the ball bearing version that is available in the UK. How much boost do you think they can handle with your experience on ball bearing turbos? How come FP never made a BB version?

My best guess is that there is a limited market for a $5000 turbo that flows 49 lbs of air, no matter what the spoolup improvement (if any).

It sure would be one HELL of a turbo though.

Can you image a green, with ball bearings, and the exhaust wheel and shaft from the JDM RS (Inconel I think), and a 4" inlet.

I can't think of how it could get any better

Here in Holland my tuner JD Engineering is using a hybride double ball bearing/twinscroll turbo on a 2ltr FSI , result:

460ft/lb@3300rpm

505ft/lb and 486BHP max.(ron98 fuel)

Maybe this could be used by you on a Evo?

Nope, I've heard his flux capacitor isn't much over 1 gigglewatt.

Just bought a white turbo. from FP. This is what came from the testing on the hta evogreen they have a few avaliable now. It flows the same as the green47-49 lbs a min and spools like a 16g. It will be a few weeks bofore any dyno tuning. Will post results. Just hope it has the power up top like a green.
