NEW Pump gas record on MD....603WHP
Wow....I hadn't been back to this thread since I was at the track. Didn't know there were instant updates going on ...lol
Got there late and it was very crowded. Got lucky and was able to get in the line that was actually moving at the time. Then as it was my turn I had to shut down as the car directly in front of me broke and they had to do track clean up.
Finally got started back up after about 20 min. This was my first time ever with drag radials so I wanted to be very careful on the launch. Turned out to be to careful and got a 2.10 60'. Then I was locked out of second. The time lost there allowed the turbo to fall to far and had to wait for it to respool. When it did it was gone. Don't know how much track I lost with the issues at the beginning but still ended up with a 132.05 trap. Back in line, waited about 90 min for next run. Gave me time to plan for the next launch. As my line started moving again it looked like I would get through in time to make a 3rd run. If youre in line by 10 you get to run. The car 3 spots in front of me broke so that killed that. Second launch I figured I'd slip the clutch a little more. Made progress as I got a 1.84 60' . 1 or 2 more tries and I think I would have had it. Then locked out of second again. First time I thought it was me so didn't make any adjustments for it. Knew I was done so took it kind of easy the rest of the run. ended up 11.9 @ 129.xx. If I could have had one more run I think I would have trie to shift to 2nd more slowly so I wouldn't have lost so many rpm's and had to wait so long for respool. Sorry I couldn't get the #'s to back up the power. You pretty much always have some bugs to get out though.

In due time Joe, no worries.
With all the new found power, the new clutch, and the nerves that go along with drag racing while sitting there at the tree, I can completely understand. I'm sure you will be back at it shortly and make some clean passes to back up the power.
Why don't you tell us what you think about the car/new setup? Is it a completely different car/animal now?? Obviously it is, I just would like to hear your thoughts.

The car was fast last year. Should have been in the 10's with no problems as I had many 130+ traps. I could have been happy if I didn't make any changes this year. But you all know how that goes. With that said it's MUCH faster now. I had to make a few passes on the little road behind the shop just to get my eyes to be able to focus while under power. Yes the lag is a bit more (still need to change the waste gate spring) but not bad enough to make me have any regrets. I wish I could give everyone a ride! I can only imagine what it will be like when we add meth, then 50/50 with c16, then straight c16.
Very nice Joe, I want a ride.
When do you guys plan on swapping out the wastegate spring?? I can't WAIT to see the numbers you put down with meth and race fuel. Definitely try to get some times/traps on pump though.
Maybe when I'm down there within the next couple of weeks you can give me a ride.

I wont be able to make it to the track for the next couple weeks. Going to the nascar race in Richmond this week. I told Nick he could take it out if he wants to.
I'm pretty sure he'll be changing the spring as well.

Damn sick numbers and its awesome that we have a local shop that is this amazing. Im in the market for a car and if i go with the EVO i now know which shop to take it to. I was wondering can you make this much power with an evo 9 and how much more power could make with meth injection?

Their phone number is listed somewhere on there.
