there is quite a difference in these two cars...

the red flows about 12-13lbs/min more than our turbo...

put it this way.. ours is flowing around a 50trim
the red is basically a 35R-ish sized turbo...,

so the 4.5-5 psi of the red over ours is a significant difference in airflow...

then also consider, the BBK (lite- this is our COMPRESSOR ONLY) has a head, strong cams, the best FMIC available......

not exactly apples to apples.... once charlies car has the turbine wheel upgrade (very shortly) we can pop up a retune chart and maybe some C16

the BBK car absolutely stomped every big turbo car on spool up and on average and yet only lost by 50whp to the highest hp car here running an HTA 35R and 100 octane...

just goes to show what the right combination of parts can produce.

Chad,

will you guys port the hotside and offer any sort of coating service?

Secondly i have already asked this but got no answer. How much more lag and power will the Full BBK have?

the full BBK is on calebs car and offers similar spool to the lite version... for autox i think the lite is the best setup, the shift response is amazing, like an on/off switch...

we will probably offer swaintech coating, but the turnaround time isnt as quick as we'd like.

interesting info about the differences between the lite and the total kit. I think when it is switched out for the full kit and a layover of both graphs is done on the same car we will have a very good idea of what the differences are. I am verrrry excited to see and hopefully have this turbo soon! great work guys.

I am not trying to start a debate i am just curious to which FMIC you have found to be the best and since i am looking for that as my next upgrade. I am assuming you guys are building your own maybe?

Thanks!

I know you have to shave out a stock 9 turbo to fit the CRBD BBK wheels in, but does my 9 turbo with the hotside being ported even help because you do have to shave the turbo anyway?

That might help with the turbine wheel, but it won't matter for the compressor wheel.

It will only help in that there might be a slightly smaller pile of metal on the floor when they are done machining it for the new turbine wheel.

lol, it depends on how far out the port work was done.... the primary turbine opening will be machined on a cnc lathe.. for the turbine to drop in.

I wonder how the BR Deluxe will perform with this turbo. That is what I have and don't really want to drop the $$$ on the Race at this point.
