This turbo is looking pretty good to me. I am very intersted in a larger than stock turbo, but I will seldom if ever run anything other than 93 octane gas in my EVO.

This is your turbo if your only running 93 octane. The Red/Green only shine with high octane

well, you can run 93 OCT on the red/green with 25psi (well-tuned), but for how long, right???

I run between 23-25psi on the Stock VIII turbo with stock internals. . .for about 30k now; but I would rather give up some top end and have a mid-range punch that the BBK seems to tout at levels between 23-25psi.

I'd love to see how this turbo would work with my GSC S1's!!

CBRD, when you do release prices, please PM or release prices on a package for labor/install/tune. Thanks!

S1's in an ix, I know, not apples to apples, @ 22 psi on 93 all day and I just look ridiculous driving around in my car because I just never stop smiling

There's no question that the Red blows away the stock turbo, even on 93 octane.

The question is whether the BBK gives enough additional oomf down low at lower boost levels to offset the loss up top compared to a Red. Time will tell on that one as more of these get out into circulation.

So what is the difference between the BBK and the RED? Which one spools faster? If I was running meth which one should i choose?

bbk spools faster and if your using meth you might as well turn up the boost and get the red. both turbos are excellent choices.

how much laggier is the RED than the BBK. Looking at the two dyno graphs a couple of pages back shows that the RED and BBK spool up similarly and the power band is almost the same so im kind of confused as to which one to get.

reds are good for high boost

if your running normal boost, i guess in the 20's, the bbk is a way beter choice
