Ams Evo Cam Test
I wouldn't even recommend someone to go with anything smaller than an S2. You can tune it to have great street manners and it doesn't lose anytime in spooling a stock turbo.
S2's and a stock IX turbo was full boost, 25psi, at 3250 in 4th gear and 3500 in 3rd gear on a dynojet when I ran that setup last year. Same as when I was on stock cams. I have the logs with the S2's if you don't believe me. Not trying to start an argument, but S1's shouldn't even be in the equation with how well the S2's and a good tune spool the turbo.

ReaperX & Bhs, are you both in Evo8's? If so what's your idle RPM and how's the idle chop with a good tune? Lastly SD or MAF?
I've got a set of TX-272's to replace my TX-264's and have been debating if the top end gains will be worth the great daily drivability. The 264's were all gain over stock.
Also trying to figure out if I could adjust cam timing enough on the 272 to smooth out the idle so I could pass smog. Not stoked on cam swapping just for that.

I have tuned stock cars, kelford 264 + stock turbo and S2 + HKS, on a 9, and there is no disadvantage when going to S2. Spool is great.
We did have MAF related problems on idle, but we cured that by going for SD. The S2 equipped car now idles at 950 rpm and 14.7 AFR with no issues whatsoever..

This was a awesome cam test for its time. It does show how different cams would perform on this car. The issue is it shows no real comparable data to apply to other setups because All setups are different. Its just to many variables. Dsport's cam test has more accurate data. The cams they tested compare the real cam specs lift and duration at the cam across the board (since most cam companies don't use the same measurement procedure for the specs). Now you can do a apples to apples comparison then factor in the other variables.
