Or is he trying to say that the car ins't running higher boost or timing, but since the Motec DOESN'T HAVE knock control, 100oct UL is being used as a safeguard?

A bunch of you guys will have your own turbos soon (or already do), and I am sure there will be plenty of dyno graphs posted from all fuels and boost pressures. Some guys will get great results on 93 while others will get not so great results on C16, just plain statistics.
Some guys will install a EVORed on a car with a stock intercooler and stock cams and run it at 18psi and wonder why he didnt make 450whp, while everyone shakes their heads.

that's only part of what he said and I don't disagree with that, but the other part is that he suggests that 100 octane isn't real race gas and therefore serves little benefit over 93 octane. True it's not c16 but it's still worlds better than 93, let's not be naive or get carried away.

Guys, if I thought 100 octane fuel was the same as 93 octane fuel, why would I run 100 octane fuel? It has benefits, like less detonation. I need that, I don't have knock control and I want to run more than 22psi.
If you go into the bar and say "whiskey" you get Jim Beam. Nothing is wrong with that. But if you have a taste for fine kentucky bourbon, and want it on ice instead of in coke you might want a better bourbon than Jim Beam.

Sunoco RT 46 in Ledgewood/Roxbury 100 oct at the pump. 7.XX a gallon. Like I said it isnt C-16 but it will def make for a a fun time at the track with some advanced timing and a few more PSI serious benefits over 93 for sure. It smeels sooooo good
Pls tell me I will be one of those LUCKY people!!

But Robert, that is misleading to dyno on, eh, I mean drink fine kentucky bourbon.... what about us vodka guys?
n
btw - we do have 100oct at the pumps here in good ol Nevada too.. lucky us as I always run it.

I wonder when FP will do a core exchange and how much it will be. I also wonder why it's $1,800 when you can get a GT45R for the same price. What the heck is making it so expensive? I really want one, but I don't want to pay almost 2G's for getting the wheels changed on my turbo.
His pump gas is 100 octane. Some of you don't get that 100 octane comes from a pump in some parts of the country. It sure is not race gas -- if it was the boost would be turned up far more than 26 PSI. It simply gives additional detonation protection at 100F temperatures.
You can throw up a huge batman search light into the sky and say it's able to be pumped from a pump at a gas station which makes it pump gas. It still won't change the fact that people on this board understand that "pump" means 87-93 octane.
This whole laughable issue is getting pretty retarded. You can run leaner AFR and more timing on 100 compared to 93 octane, you can also run more boost if you want. So let's all give each other a group hug and just say 100 octane is a whole 7 points more octane then the next "pump gas". It might not be race gas in the leaded rocket fuel sense, but it sure isn't pump gas.

let me know where i can find a DBB 45r for 1800.00.. ill buy them all. LOL
Its not just changing wheels.. Its the work that goes into development, labor to build and machine the turbo, the billet wheel is not cheap also.. alot of factors play a role..
Just an update.. My RED!! was shipped out TODAY! from Fp.. Im super hyped! Cant wait to get her on and tuned.. I'll be running 1200s E-85 stock ECU, S2 Cams, double pumper, stock fmic, XS UICP, AMS LICP, Forge BOV, o2, dp. 3in CBE.!!
