My point was that I agreed with him that the dealer profit is low on his product but I disagreed that this fact would lead reputable tuners to push inferior turbos.
If some other facility is recomending another turbo itvis probably becuase they have realized good results with what ever turbo they have chosen
I am just pointing out that from a buisiness perspective no tuner will lead his customer to a weak turbo. That makes no sense.
I am boxing up two HTA upgrades today to ship to FP. The bottom line is the reason why I am recomending the HTA upgrade for my customer is because it works. Even though there is not a lot of profit in the Hta unit itself, we make some money on the install and tuning and dyno time.
Getting the customer a good running car is more important than the profit margin to me.
Of course, I only speak for myself.
Yes. Btw I know who Robert is. Thanks score.

i believe this test needs to be done against the 6262. i have a 6262 on my car and the spool is much better than the 6265. i hit full boost 25 psi on pump gas at 4800 rpm. also in the first thread with the dyno sheet it show surge with the 6265. i have zero surge issues with the 6262. i can start a 5th gear pull at 2000 rpms and feel no surge what so ever. it may be a so called swiss cheese style cover but it works. i spent 400 less for the 6262. i ordered a hta 35r but after a wait time of six weeks gave up. i switched to the 6262 and had it on my door step in two weeks. honestly the 6262 is a much better comparison.

Doing the test against a smaller turbine wheeled 6262 might be interesting, but the 62mm Billet PTE wheel didnt make any more power upstairs than the 59mm HTA compressor did, even with a larger turbine wheel advantage. Plus being made in 6061 instead of stronger 2000 series aluminum leaves plenty of strength on the table, and operating at 400F and 40PSI, strength is something you are looking to keep, not leave on the table.

So if this was at the same boost, all it proves is the hotside flow close to the same amount, although the 6265 is laggier. Since we all know that neither wheel was maxed out, you can't really gain any info regarding compressor flow from this.
I'm not trying to knock FP at all, as I am a pretty regular customer. I'm just pointing this out for others who may not recognize it.
I remeber when Bullseye had an even more exagerated example oif a similar situation on their website and it made me furious. they showed a s258 making a ton more low end power witht he same peak as a 67mm and stated that the better curve would win in a race. Too bad the 67 still had another 150+whp it could make with more boost.
Were their signs of either compressor being maxed out?

A sound plan is one that involves defining a power target and choosing a turbo that is capable of attaining that figure with available fuel, with the least amount of compromise in the way of low speed power and spool characteristics. This maximizes average power, and it is average power (not peak) that delivers real world performance. If 600whp were the power target in this case, the HTA3582R outperforms the 6265 because it delivers greater average power. Even if the 6265 had something left beyond the HTA unit, it would have to deliver significantly more peak power to make up for the greater average power of the HTA turbo.
With the HTA3582R being capable of over 700whp, there seems to be nothing around that gives greater power potential without giving up something.

Cant tell you what the 6262 at 35 psi makes but at 49psi it holds boost pretty decent only dropping to 46psi and makes near 800whp in hot florida heat.. My opinion is its the superior t3 turbo to date.. just wait til the 6765 billet wheel is released.. near 900whp on a t3 has never been done.. I think it will do it..
