Im gonna be testing out the RED on the track soon! cant wait to see how it pulls.. it will be nice to compare the GREEN to.

maybe run Q-16 & get some incar footage to post in here.....

It would be interesting to see what the addition of an open dump-tube would do in terms of performance gains with this turbo. My guess is you'll see some nice gains simply because the boost shouldn't taper off as bad.

I'm also excited to see a 2.3 with a Red! I was literally just talking on the phone with my tuner about doing the same thing....I think I'm gonna do it! I was going for the white but for 500$ more, I'm down!

Robert - how close are you to having the next 20-30 turbos??

my red is gona be shipped out monday from mike@awdmotorsports, also ordered an open dump. l currently have bolt on evo8 + 9 turbo cams 272 i put down 389whp and 374tq on 91 oct+100meth dail driver. im very anxious about wut my new setup is gonna push out.

No way he's running stock LICP if he's running buschur race FMIC. Since he specified only stock UICP, it's pretty safe to assume he's using the LICP made for the br race fmic.

He said earlier it is a custom made pipe to fit BR fmic

I don't know. We have run open dump tubes on the 4G63 for long time, and honestly my nerves just don't like it anymore. That sudden "chainsaw at full power" sound whenever the gate opens can get pretty old. To me it seems like that sound is a beacon to all law enforcement officials in a 300yard radius screaming "ME! ME! ME! pull me over!"

Performance gains from it? Yes perhaps if your exhaust system is a little on the restrictive side of life. About half of your exhaust flow goes thru the turbine and the other half thru the WG at full power, so if you are dumping the WG flow straight out onto the road, then the exh system carries only half the flow it would have without the dump.
