If I had a guy willing to give me a 3065 for free, or pay 500 dollars for a used RED, I would give the guy 500 dollars

I will just leave it at that.

Forget 9sec9s car... it has the best of everything on his car which is a drag car...

i talk pump gas... i haven't seen the numbers that can persuade me that Red is the turbo we all dreamed of... which is almost stock lag and over 410-420awhp on pump at moderate boost levels on stock ecu...
Kouzman. I am a pump gas guy as well and the RED has already acheived over 400whp (w/full bolt on). This is what the green couldnt do on a full weight Evo. It normally netted anywhere between 370-390whp on pump gas.
As for stock spool, I think we are just too greedy!

From experience. FP Red, I made 30 psi at 3800rps and held 28 to redline! Confirm with KevinD. He has all of the charts ect. I just parted my highly modified IX out with the FPRed also the GSC280 cams probably helped out alot. Which are still for sale btw, I'm getting a WW X on Tuesday. And Aneil from FP told me this morning that my FPRed for the X will be in this coming Friday!!! Sweet huh

Red all the way!!! And resale on thoes things will never go down, it's like buying a Ferrari

Good luck with your build!!

I'm curious what the "Red" will be for the X. The old skool DSM Red is a 60-1 wheel, and they now have a WRX Red which is the same thing I'm assuming. They also have the DSM and WRX Green, which is a 50 trim wheel, and now they also have an HTA Green for the WRX, which looks to be a clockwise version of the EVORed wheel, which is derived from the HTA3076R wheel.

So, will the X Red be a clockwise version of the IX Red, or will it be the old-skool 60-1 wheel like the other clockwise Reds? They really need to unify their naming, it's starting to get confusing.

As for the 3065 vs Red on an EVO8-9, I'd say Red hands down. The wheel is slightly smaller, but the efficiency makes up for it. In the real world, people are making as much power on Reds already as most 3065s I've ever seen, and the Red hasn't been out nearly as long. Twin scroll+cheaper+stock looking+no expensive, non-rebuildable BB CHRA=winner
