BTW, How loud is the Amsoil filter (4560)? I heard a HKS filter (mushroom shaped) once, and it was pretty loud at high rpm WOT. I know many people here like loud air intake sound though.
on the stock turbo they wistle nice.

on the red they sound like a turbine engine

AMSOIL filters in stock going quick, some of the vendors in our sig are selling them like hot cakes.

I have the BLOX filter.. similar to the old style Buschur filter. Its direct bolt-on to MAF without any adapters. Best bang for the buck Mod besides the front engine roll stopper.

I was offered a Blox filter for round 2 of testing but unfortunately I was never able to perform round 2 Its a nice looking filter and I wish I would have been able to test it.

10 WHP with the change of a filter? Who would have thought. Nicely done. I would have never guessed the difference would have been that massive.

Same here which is why we performed this test! CBRD claiming the Perrin filter was worth 10whp over the K&N is what sparked all this...and it turns out he was right

Thanks for taking the time to do this. I honestly learned something. I'm still loving my Buschur Racing Filter .

It wasn't tested. The HKS has proven to be sub-par in other tests though so I'm not sure why anyone would want one. After performing this test I can't see why anyone would run something other than a Perrin or Amsoil to be honest. Scheides and I both switched to the Perrin right after this test and both of us have been having great luck with it.

Didn't the Bushur put out the most HP? Why wouldn't you just keep that filter?

Read the details of the thread as this has already been discussed. The MAF was scaled for the Buschur filter which gave it an edge, plus it doesn't filter well and its made from poor materials so it gets all rusty on the inside and outside potentially allowing rust flakes into your engine.

I remove my Perrin filter periodically and no oil or oil residue has gotten on the inside of the MAF (been on my car for almost a year now).

You can also get 15WHP if you change your pink underpants to black ones.

The proof is all right here, and other shops have been able to back it up!
