My advice stays the same, Perrin followed by Amsoil. Perrin makes a filter for Subarus with a 3" flange that fits nicely, otherwise Amsoil has a variety of sizes available.

oh? i think back when the test was first ran amsoil didn't have a filter that would fit cars with acd, because of the fluid - has that changed now?

The test was performed on a car with ACD If you go the Amsoil filter route just get a silicone intake tube so you can trim it to fit with the larger filter.

Thanks for the fast response, so i should go with perrin filter.

I know that this isnt the topic of the thread but would a larger pipe from the turbo to the filter improve the performance? Maybe a 3.5“ one or a 4“ (considering that perrin filter has a 4.5 or 4.25 inlet. Thanks again for the info, cheers.-

No reason to go larger than 3" unless your turbo inlet is larger.

ahh - i thought there was something about the hood not being able to close or something not fitting - i guess that was it. I think for simplicity's sake i will just stick with my apexi until amosil releases something that's in our exact size

Do you happen to have a part number for the Green Filter that is equivalent, or comparable to the AMSOIL cone, or the Perrin pod filters that are being discussed in this thread?

Apexi is about the last choice I'd make - please see the test results, its a terrible MAF adapter design. Perrin and Amsoil both make filters that fit fine and are being run on numerous cars.

i don't consider getting a new intake tube and trimming it to be a product that "fits fine" - and the Perrin I avoided because I wanted a dry filter, etc. I'll keep looking

Any advice on a really high dust area? I live out in the desert and we have really fine dust, Ive noticed some in the intake tube and its a little scary thinking about all the dust being ingested by my motor......

Perrin, dense oiled foam does a great at trapping dust. Most ATV's use oiled foam.
