Air Filter Shootout Test - Results!
Thanks Kracka, I will look into it. I've heard that they can get clogged really quick around here, and since I have to drive 2 miles on a dirt road to get to work, its deffinately a concern but I think it should be alright if I clean it once every 2 weeks! Thanks again
Just a mini FYI, I spoke with Green Filters, turns out they are the ones who Buschur actually goes to for filters

I really wish Perrin make an intake for the X, or at least a filter that fit my AFE

i thought you said it needed to be trimmed!
anyway i went with green filters usa, here's the difference!

fits great in the engine bay

I may try the Amsoil next time knowing that it fits now, but that may be a while since I bought a cleaning kit for the green filter.

Kinda sloppy but it works for now.
I bent my ACD forward out of the way until it was almost touching the front cross member. I used two zip ties one attached to the intercooler pipe above and one to the MAF clamp to lift the MAF upward to take the weight off the ACD reservoir and the wires:

I was stock.
You guys told me I wouldn't need to tune for this and you were right. It drives perfectly, without issue. It sounds badass (you can really hear the whoosh of the intake and the pshhh of the BOV). It seems to breath a little better down low (less lag) and pull a little harder up top.
This was the first mod I did myself, satisfaction rating = 8 out of 10.
Don't unbolt the MAF from the airbox until you remove the whole assembly from the car (by unscrewing the single screw holding the MAF clamp on and removing all the nuts holding the air box in place). So you don't break their anchors, tap the nuts on the MAF with a small hammer to break them loose before unscrewing them.
I got that all from this install how to:

Also, I called the Vibrant guys in Canada to double check about the stock gasket already on the MAF inlet between the MAF and the airbox. You DO leave it in place, the Vibrant gasket seals against the stock gasket. They answered their phones 15 minutes after closing time (I was in the middle of it) and got me an answer in minutes. Good people.

I'd probably just let it hang.
