So can anyone confirm if the AMSOIL filter will fit with stock intake tube and a maf adapter on an EVO with ACD? If not what intake tube is recommended that is shorter? Thanks!

kinda of a neat freak anyway, gives me something to do... I swapped out the Vibrant for the Perrin (came in a few days ago, a newer version of the one tested) and it was dirty too so how more can it get if it filters 100 times better lol cheers

Like other people have said... I'd love to see a ARC induction box test. I know it doesn't really compare in price or design.... but I'd still like to see how it compares in terms of performance and filtering quality.

Thanks...does anyone have the part number for the Amsoil?

Also what intake tube is prefered that gives the least amount of MAF distortion while having the best gains?

For the Amsoil, is it as simple as taking off the airbox, putting on the 4.5" MAF adapter and putting on the filter? Nothing else needed?

^^ Yup. Should get a tune to make the best of the new filter, though (but, won't hurt anything if you don't.)

Edit: Just saw you're an IX. With the stock intake pipe, you may bump into the ACD tank.
I have a Buschur intake on my car like the OP.

For the Amsoil filter I really like the Samco intake hose since you can easily trim some length off it. With the stock intake pipe though, just see if you have 7" of room between the MAF and ACD tank.

With the stock hose the maf adapter and amsoil will need to be tilted up slightly but no problems and as far as chris said looks like the samco intake would work best when upgrading due to its ability to be shortened.

Thanks guys. It definitely wouldn't hurt if I ran it for a while without a tune?

You're fine without getting a tune right away.
