I run a 2.3, the post by Ron after mine states "I have another log here with Shepherd's EVO as well.

2.3L, FP3582 .82 exhaust, big tube T3 Header, yada yada.

20psi by 4574rpm. " data means everything.... So this FP 3582 made it just barely slower at 100 RPM. Considering that Twin Scroll "doesnt work" and that the FP3582 has a 82mm exducer and the 4094r had a 94mm exducer I would say it is CLEARLY EVIDENT that the twin scroll setup made a BIGGER turbo spool FASTER. Was it marginally faster? Yes, but that 40R is a much bigger snail....

Ron and I are talking like humans no need to go out of control. There is more than one way to do everything, each has its benefits and downsides... I'm not brighter than any of the vendors in this thread regarding these matters, just alot more open minded.

Please take this twin scroll crap to another thread. I'd like to see some of you go to that thread and stay there actually. Everytime I start a thread I have to hear something from same negative people. Go do something on your own, get back to us with facts.

The GT40 had good spool up, I said that, I also said the power SUCKED. Stop reading just what you chose to pick through and accept.

But it can't be a time bomb either, safe, emissions legal, stock ecu or AEM, easily streetable.

Keep the stock displacement
Stock frame turbo
Built bottom end
you get the idea...
This is my suggestion.

Trying to get this thread back on topic.

Sorry David..

Looking forward to this debate getting resolved eventually as more and more people try different setups. Sorry to bring the debate into your thread.

It's a shame that Dave is trying to do us a great service by asking US what kind of build WE want to see and all we can do is bicker back and forth about TS crap that has been covered in numerous threads in the boards.

I still stick by my build suggestion.

Woot! 300th post!

I agree. My vote would be for you to make the car similar to your RS before the big turbo went on it. You were always bragging how fun the car was to drive back then and you proved when you and I did that impromptu roll race up Rte. 10 just outside of Wakeman. We were catching you but it would have taken a while with the bus length you put on us right from the hit. Good times!

I would love to see a twin sequential turbo on a 2.0, using a pair of inexpensive small turbos, perhaps TD04. Torque and spool would be amazing for a street car. The manifold would be fun, external wastegate could perhaps be used to block the turbine outlet of the second turbo.

RC Developments in the UK developed a prototype, but then they went bust and the project appears to be dead. Their initial graphs looked promising. I offered to help them get the OEM ECU to control it all, but I think they were already in trouble at that point and they never got back to me.

I hope to start this project in about 2 weeks, we are gathering parts for the build. I don't want to start until I have everything for it. We are going to pull the car in, build it all in one shot and pull it out the door.

I have my mind made up, about 90%, on what I am going to do. Anyone interested?
