Where did you see/hear this? If it's true, I wonder if the compressor housing will bolt onto an OEM IX turbo. If that's the case, someone needs to buy a comp. housing and send it in to FP with their IX turbo for a Red conversion.

Sounds promising. It will be interesting to see the run conditions though as it sounds like the Tomie had a distinct advantage with regards to temperature. For comparison sake though,

FP Green ($1695) + FP EVO8 Install Kit ($129) = $1824
FP Green ($1695) + FP EVO8 Install Kit ($129) + FP High Pressure Actuator ($129) = $1953

If that Tomie Actuator is a high pressure actuator, and the price is around $1700 (stated price in other threads) this turbo is quite the deal compared to the Green when upgrading from an VIII.

do you know what is the spring rate on the actuator? if its close to stock then an upgraded actuator would help.

WOW, big gains. I dont think 9 degrees and 16% humidity is going to account for 40whp/50tq. Bad *** turbo.

Can someone confirm if the turbine housing was ported or needs ported? Was the green that was on before ported or not?

Based on the dynosheet run parameters, these would be the corrected peak numbers of both runs.

Code:
		                        Uncorrected Corrected
Dyno Correction Factor HP Torque HP	Torque
Tomie 0.948 481 475 456 450
Green 0.992 441 426 438 423

Nice work guys, glad to see that overlay and to see this thing spool like a champ, while still carrying a huge mid range advantage
