its from a shelf i just cut it in half to make a box so the puller would center with the bolt in the output shaft..

i just put a bolt that fits in it with a washer and chain then something heavy on the other side and rip it out.

um tob probs

my teacher separted trans from the block while i was at lunch before i had a chance to pop the wedge collar and the throw out bearing. so to make a long story short i ended up having to drill a 1/4" hole and use a long punch....after i unbolted the clutch release rod...and punched the clutch release rod out...but it worked in about 10 mins and i had the tranny on my trans jack...so im just gonna plugg that hole up for the next time....

When you take that bolt out, I would recommend replacing it. The bolt from mitsu is 4-5 dollars. Its going to be messed up badly. When i took mine out the threads were tore up. That same bolt gave me trouble.

Disclaimer, it's not too late for you to put it back together and take it to a professional. Your progress so far should have been done in the first 2hrs. You havent even gotten to the hard part yet (getting the tranny out and back in). Just wanted to let you know this job is not for everyone. I've done it on 2 different Evo's 3 times and every time I think to myself I should have payed to have this done because it's such a PITA.

Try soaking in some PB Blaster or other penetrating oil if you havent already. Breaker bar and a hammer (from the other side where the nut is), gotta have a pretty hefty impact wrench to out-do a breaker bar.

Ok, your Evo is ACD if it has Tarmac, Gravel, Snow with the switch to change between them. If it doesnt have this it's not ACD. If it does then you have to deal with the ACD system.

The ACD banjo bolt is in front of the upper left of the 6 transfer case bolts that come out from the passenger side. I think it's a 19mm or 21mm bolt and when you loosen it the ACD fluid will start leaking out, get a bucket to catch the fluid while you get Bolt #1 out or pinch off the line somehow, after you get the bolt out you can put the banjo bolt back in till you get ready to re-assemble. There are 2 thin copper washers on top and bottom of the ACD line. For the (6) 17mm transfer case bolts, use a 3-4ft 3/8 ratchet extension (special tool worth it's gold for this job) with a swivel and you can get them all out from the passenger side wheelwell.

The O marks the spot where the banjo bolt is blocking access to bolt #1, The banjo bolt faces down. (This is a rudimentary drawing of the 6 tcase bolts and where the ACD line is). Some peole have done this without removing the line, thereby not bleeding the system afterwards. I've never attempted doing it this way as removing the banjo bolt and bleeding the line is not hard work or that time consuming. The trick to doing it without removing the bolt is to use a wrench as pictured below and loosen the bolt while separating the tcase at the same time. This bolt is about 5 inches long so it's not going to come out without removing the ACD line but you could leave it in and separate the case from the tranny while removing. Too me the easier way is to remove and bleed the line.

Discussion here https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/te...nny-gurus.html

This picture shows the ACD line and the banjo bolt that's in the way of bolt #1 as depicted with the O above.

This picture shows where the 3 top tcase bolts are, the two on the right have already been removed.

After you finish the job you'll need to refill the ACD reservior and bleed the ACD system. You can do this by using 2 people, one turning the key on and off the other bleeding the line from the bottom. When you turn the key the ACD pump runs for 2-5 seconds. You need to do this a bunch of times, refilling the reservior as you go. Failure to do this can destroy the ACD pump.

it says 50 ftlbs for these bolts but hell i dont know im moving the whole motor over an inch and they are not moving....
