Everyone I talk to says it is impossible to keep the heads on high boost 4g64 builds...Thanks for your help
Hmmm, you didnt talk to Marco . One is not getting crazy with the bore size, the other is the headgasket, and lastly overall state of tune. Block and head prep are essential in any motor but especially motors with very little sealing surface between the bores. Of course is the choice of headstuds and I think anything less than L19s is probably asking for it on a high powered 4G64.

We currently have one 2.2 up and running (customer car). It made 546whp on an ETS 61mm kit and is getting a 3586HTA this week. Mine is almost ready, the motor is fully assembled save cams which I am told will ship monday.

Well you and I have spoken before and I respect your opinion, so thanks for the vote.

Dustin, it looks sick btw (sorry if it seemed like a threadjack). Cant wait to see what happens when you get the freezeplugs straightened out and MORE boost gets to the equation. Your torque is crazy....I cant wait for mine

What did that beast dyno at??? I'm thinking 2.2L with the 3586HTA. Is that a 4g63 or 4g64?

Mine did 641whp at 30psi on 92. It made peak power lower than I was hoping with my particular combination though. The "new build" link in my sig goes to all the relevant info.

Is it also important to retorque when using ARP head studs?

Whats the better HG out of the Power Enterprise and the HKS when maintaining the 86.5 stock bore? I am currently doing the 4g64 build as well.
