This is true...both great looking pieces...both are known to make great products...Mike @ AWD tested the Shearer and gained 21whp on an FP Red....which BBK do you have, lite or full??

I have the BBK Full. The Shearer was tested on a Green and it was 21whp over the ported stocker.

No his post was 100% Incorrect all around. First off mike didnt gain 21 WHP on an FP Red, it was an FP Green (Reds will gain more power). Also It wasn't 21 whp over a stocker. It was 21 WHP over a BUSCHUR PORTED STOCK. Which is already a 10~ Whp gain. So expect Shearer to yield 31+ On an FP Green or Red over a completely stock manifold.

I would love to get a full race mani but I cant justify spending even over $300 on a manifold. Im too broke. The uptop gains would be nice though

wow, thats pretty big gains. due to the runner design i would expect it to behave similarly to the "RNR" headers that buschur dynoed years ago

shearer's manifold is proven better than stock exhaust manifold. It's just who can afford to spend $1000 vs. 195...lol

I've been tracking this thread from the beginning and what I'd like to see is a back-to-back-to-back comparison of an FP Red testing a BR ported, ProStock, and Shearer manifold respectively while attempting to keep all factors as close as possible. The BR ported costs roughly $275 (+10whp over stock). The ProStock costs roughly $980 (+20whp over stock). The Shearer costs roughly $xxx (+30whp over stock). I'm not sure how much the Shearer costs and I'd be interested in examining the torque increases over stock for each of these three as well.

as for the price last time i looked this was not a geo metro type forum. nothing can compare to fullrace in quality of there manifolds. not buschur, shearer, ams, jmf no one can make a mani like full race can. you get what you pay for. and the full race mani has proven to be the best. you also get a life time warinte. imo yes the price is worth it over a ported mani or any cheeper mani on the market.
IDK dan the JMF Manifold looks pretty stout.

Looks good, almost the one i'd want people when i take out that grill from the hood and that Thing just sticks out... But then again, its really not about looks.

If I had the money I would get the Shearer or Mynes. I like how the merge collectors are.
