The ams header is a good design. A little modification will allow you to attach a tial 44m gate to the mani and allow you to run a v-band configured exhaust housing. I've seen it work time and time again.

I would also mod the AMS manifold for a 44mm wg and use a .82 vband turbine. Thats what I put on a 2.4L 4g64 and it should be a beast once it is all done. It previously made 603whp on an SC6152E so the 6262R should bump it up a little.

Sorry off topic. How is your 4G64 holding up. Any head gasket issues?

thats exactly why I switched from my AMS turbo kit to the Buschur front facing turbo kit...you can run whatever back housing you choose

I had the same problem as you as i had an AMS 37r which i feel the wastegate is to small for switched to a full race manifolid and bought a 6765 from mike at AWD and the differance is night and day so much more control over the boost i ordered a .63 ex by mistake but its all good as it spools great and made 780+ with std T/B
also just did a 10.6 on a airfield with zero grip and full weight could only manage 11.2 with the ams kit

Ready to head to the dyno, hoping the .81 A/R will break 800whp.
