Sorry to hear, thats sucks man... this is always a concern when my friends say they want to fit Kelfords...

I always try to advise to go for somthing else like Tomei 270s or GSC S2 "274"s

Im happy that i switched to S3's. The second motor in my car failed due to 272's. Still used a new set after they broke, now onto S3's. Good Luck hope nothing is damaged too badly.

Bumping this thread back from the dead to see if there have been any other cases of snapped cast IX cams from any brands today.

I ended up switching to billet cams because of this rare occurrence. How is it that the OEM IX intake cams which are both cast and HOLLOW don't have this issue. Do aftermarket manufacturers always use a lower quality material than OEM for their castings?

I know that this has happened, but I can't wrap my head around it. Is this still happening to anyone using cast cams?

Thanks guys.
