BR's Project White, "completed". Lots of information.
I believe he used the Juns because they were sitting around in the shop (IIRC from the original thread).
Answers from Page 3.
yahu, the ride height on the car is lower than stock and I have a little bit of rake in the stance. I refuse to roll the rear fenders on this car. I also plan to have four people in the car quite often. I don't want the tires to rub or the car to bottom out. I left the ride a little higher because of those things.

Thanks for keeping everyone so informed on such an outstanding build!
Great job David. I have followed both threads because of the parts involved and your willingness to provide actual prices as well as the performance for those parts.
My wife has given me the "green light" to take my car to the next level and would like to discuss a path forward for that build. What's the best way to have a brief conversation with you about such an undertaking?
Thanks in advance for your reply...

Correct, I tried to build this car with some used parts and on what we had here at the shop, just laying around. The Jun 272's are great cams, I have always said that and I had a set here that were taken out of something else.
I did not do the Ted B. mod, it is not needed. I see no reason what-so-ever in running both fuel pumps at idle, seems silly to me and that is the only thing the mod is good for taking care of, over running the stock regulator at idle.
Best way to discuss a build if you want to discuss with me is shoot me an email or a PM here. My email is davidbuschur@buschurracing.com if you want to use that rather than the forums.
The car has sat here in the parking lot since Saturday morning. There were a few friends/customers here this morning who were interested so I hit the key. Fired instantly, idled perfectly and rev'd awesome. That's just an update on the stock ECU tuning results.

About a yr ago you tested an hta3076r and broke 500whp on your mustang dyno...I dont think it spooled as fast as this setup but mabye you could comment if in fact the hta makes more power but spooles slower, I understand the cars are not setup the same but you may be able to tell us what you would expect if you tried the hta without any other changes?
Alright, more details. First off, I only live about 5 miles from our shop. I rarely leave our small town of 900 people, I like it here. When I do leave I'm usually in my truck after work or going to dinner with the family. In other words I don't put a lot of miles on my nice cars, no matter what they are. For example, my RS has about 9,000 miles on it, it's a 2004, I bought it new. My EVOX has 4,000 miles on it, my Shelby has 700 miles on it.
What I can tell you is each car has it's unique feel. The Shelby with it's supercharged V8, makes me want to drift. haha
The RS is just plain rediculous. It scares most people and has made grown men throw up in their mouth. It is loud, it's fast, the power under 5,000 rpm is fairly boring, you can not accelerate in 5th gear under 3,000 rpm. The drivability is good, especially considering it runs 9.0's, hell it may even be great considering it is that fast.
Tonight I had to take a decently long drive to pick up something I had ordered. So when my son arrived after school we jumped into Project White and took off, first to fill up on fuel. Before I left I told my brother to watch his phone just in case since I was going for the cars first real drive. I also put Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift in the DVD player so he could watch it. (yes, believe it or not I like it and have all 3 FF's, haha)
I have to tell you, this car is my favorite EVO to date. I've said it already but I have to say it again, the ride quality is absolutely freaking superb. I could not honestly be more impressed with how well the car rides on these S1's. It is also extremely quiet, I am running the Magnaflow with the SD muffler in the middle.
Now I put the 4.11 gears in it so at 60 mph the car is only running 2350 rpm, that is nice. Fuel mileage seems good. Here is something that really impresses me. With the car being so quiet, the stroker and the Red I can come into a town in 5th gear and never think about dropping a gear. Tonight I was seeing how low in the RPM I could run the car in 5th gear and it still feel smooth and would still actually accelerate. 1300 rpm in 5th gear the car is still smooth and will actually accelerate on light throttle opening, perfectly smoothly! Now THAT is impressive.
I put about 75 miles of pure enjoyment on it tonight. What a great car. It really makes me think about my RS, it's fast but I'll tell you, other than WOT it is not nearly as enjoyable as this car to drive.
This may just be the ultimate daily driver/track car.

The HTA3076 turbo was on my RS, 2 liter, maximum effort build, AEM EMS etc., etc. Comparing the two is pointless. There is a thread somewhere on EVOm though that should be fairly easy to find and there is a dyno sheet there if I remember correctly.
I went and found the thread on the HTA3076 to compare cause you got me curious.
Peak torque was at 5200 rpm, peak power was 523 whp/462 ft lbs at 31.50 psi, with the stand alone and Q16 for fuel.
That is better than I remember it being. I'd still take the Red over that, first off the Red is $1800, that turbo kit is about $4,000. Believe me, I'd rather sell a turbo kit when it comes to profit.

I gotta imagine you are pushing people over the edge for a similar 2.3 build. I know I am salivating but with only 30k miles on my IX and this horrible economy, I'll be lucky to get the S1's before year's end. It is really great to hear how much you are enjoying the whip!
