What parts exactly do i need to to have a evo head to run high and high rpms safely?

What parts exactly do i need to to have a evo head to run high and high rpms safely?

What parts exactly do i need to to have in a evo head to run high hp and high rpms safely? I was told I need double springs, retainers, and lifters. From their i dont now what else i need to build the evo head to withstand high rpms and high hp.

what i mean by that is get all new valvetrain components,
get valves, rocker arms, pushrods, lifters, springs, retainers, and cams.
....and get a built head..then you'll have a head that can withstand high hp and high rpm's

supertech dual valve springs and ti retainers and you're set, i rev to 8500 rpm when i go to the track and am on stock valves, lifters, rockers, etc. i do have cams though and a built bottom end.

Springs and retainers should get it done, unless you're looking for crazy high (like 9K plus).

lol sorry, im helping my friend kevin build his car too....his isnt exactly...imported haha but its nice nonetheless, I just have valves, retainers, springs, and i really want some 280's...but cant decide between that or 272's

Upgrade the pushrods first...


No but really, a lot of people use the supertech dual springs with retainers, you should replace valve guides/seals/possibly valves while you're in there. Port the head too.

The stock EVO valves and reatainers seem pretty light. Anybody have some weight comparisions to other aftermarket parts?
