i just want a fast spooling turbo that has potential for big power. also the lag isnt that bad.. i think the trade for big power is worth a lil lag... but i wanna stay 2 liter and make power around 550 on E85. and since it will mostly be street drivin it cant be to lagy

the biggest thing is i dont wanna buy the red and be like aw **** i shoulda gotten the TS 35r. cuz i know ill want more power, so should i just go BIG??

Remember that the red does drop in power at top end. Also I see your from a high elevation area so add atleast 500rpm loss in spool to the numbers that you see. I've done alot of research on this for the past couple of years. Pm me and I can definitely help you out.

I was out of fuel with 1000cc injectors and twin Walbros on E85 at about 515whp. 1600cc is the way to go for E85 and a 600whp+ capable setup.

If you are buying a manifold with it, go twin scroll T4.

It gives you LOTS of options on turbochargers.

HTA
Borg Warrner
GT

50 pounds per minute to 90 pounds per minute

You can get all of them on a T4 flange.

The Red has no replacement to up size in the future.

Sounds like the Red isnt the best turbo for you. I would go with something larger in the T4 frame. Most 1000cc injectors wont be enough for 600whp on E85. You could run 1200-1600cc, or even get a set of Injector Dynamics 1000cc with high fuel pressure and dual pumps.

Do not consider anything larger than an HTA 3582R. If you do that in twinscroll TS T4 1.06 A/R, you will easily meet your power goal, and you should see ~20 psi around 4000 rpm in 3rd gear with a good cam set and sharp tuning.

^^ i want to stay to liter at least for a while.....

i want big power but not a dyno queen, a fun street able turbo that spools fast and has room for high numbers on E85

+1 on this.

If you want quick spool and still great power go with that set-up, 1600cc, Double Pumper and Kelford 272's for your car, of course with Dual Valve Springs and retainers for safety.

haaaa again knife edged crank 100 2.3 shortblock and red e85 Thats a Monster there and you will get some high numbers. its what im building now actually (minus e85 not avail where i live) and complete madness on the street. The highest fp red to date that i have seen (most-wanted) 637 that impressive out this turbo grant race gas and 2.0 shortblock i think he was running still nice. now if your talking 700 and up then of course 35r wins but dont be surprised when stuff starts breaking for your trophy car and triple clutch here you come 5k.

Yes, we also have to assume that you know the limits of your car (engine, clutch, tranny) and that you have those supporting mods, that's why we are recommending the set-ups that we are.
