Im building a 2.0 as well. I'm not willing to give up the RPM's for torque just yet. I like the Red in my case due to its stock like characteristics and good power up top. Plus, you don't need to spend all that extra time and money for that twin scroll setup if you aren't looking to break the sound barrier. 500-600WHP is totally doable with the red on built 2.0 anyway. and since you are going with e85, can't see you having much of a problem making great power with a good tuner... ^^thats y i also want the red.. the quick spool and tq provided by it is SICK!! but ive heard over and over that the pull to the top is awesome but as soon as it peaks it drops off just as fast.... thats no good. just to let everyone kno if i go red it will be the 80mm...

i also have a very very good local tuner so thats no prob... and if not ill be callin Mitch from Vivid Racing!!

I have a standard ams 35r kit on mine (Stock block,im,tb), with kelford 272's, it hits 23-24psi in 4th gear (starting at 4190) by ~4600

lemme look through some other datalogs..
3rd gear, kicked at 43, all in at about 4900.

Its not stock turbo fast spooling, but I wouldn't say it was laggy. this is not a twin scroll nor an HTA, I would imagine that a setup with that properly tuned would spool up a bit quicker.

OOK i dont know who told you that information nobody including myself would have invested in the turbo if it could not hold at top. now of course it will drop off some but what turbo does not not? really dependant on mods and quality of tuner.

btw nothing wrong with a red on 2.0. I was going that route as well until issues with my motor

The FPRED is one hell of a street and track turbo. If I was to do it all over again, I would with out a doubt put the RED back on my car!

okix, y did u take the red off?? the more i research the red the more promising it looks. most-wanted went 9.5@ 146 or somethin crazy like that on the red with E85 so it can be REALLY fast! and thats what ill be running(e85) so the combo should be sick!

Fp red
kelford 272
crower springs/retainers
full-race mani
epm o2 dump
magnus street intake mani
1200cc injectors
full blown double pumper
ams front mount
custom intake
custom ic pipes
custom straight pipe exhaust
COP ignition
E85 and tune...

think 450 is possible for this setup with a good tune??

I would love too see a Red with an external gate, seems that would solve a lot of the issues folks have had with the turbo at times.

yeah but ive heard with a good o2 dump(shearer or epm) there is zero boost creep. external gate would be kinda cool tho...

LOL, yeah jesse I know the RED is a TS...I meant to say the dyno sheet posted did not sell the TS35 over the Red... Thanks for catching my typo ...

For all others that were unsure, the factory and factory style turbos are all twin scroll...
