help me decide! FP RED or Twin-scroll hta
ya the porting jobs amazing, but it took him near 2-3wks to get it done. I would not get it coated, just have someone coat your heatshield black or something like I did to mine. I had some guy off supra forums powder coat my ic piping and heatshield. I did the piping wrinkle black and heatshield flat black. NOW if you plan on autocrossing the car or something then sure get it coated.
im going to end up running a borla exhaust manny lifetime warranty then ill have it recoated by my new powercoater in utah i live in louisiana. wait till you see my ppi ported/coated intake and my version 2 buschur t/b ill pm you pics. Now as far as covering it up. Nothing in this world is more sexy then poping the hood and seeing some massive pipe action polished silver or black if thats your flavor makes it look strong and by the way my red will spool stupid quick 2.3 plus knife edged crank. im just getting other parts for my build now. YOu have to keep in mind im modding two cars here so progress is slow and fast at times 350z and evo ftw. to answer your question i dont drive my evo period motor build now. i have a megan manny on there right now(peace of ****) i have ALOT of spare parts including the factory manny attach to evo 8 turbo in my closet along with brand new fp red in box and another evo 8 turbo on the evo for now. im install all these parts at one time. massive build you will see my thread when i have all the peaces to the puzzle

let me also add the only restrictive part at the turbo area as far as exhaust goes is the o2 housing, it would be stupid to port that because the design in general has horrible flow. So for the o2 housing, yes get any aftermarket o2 housing as the stock is restrictive. I went with invidia, but megan has a just as good o2 housing and is cheaper (if I would have known this prior I would not have gotten the invia) And obviously the entire stock exhaust system.

Ive done tons of research on this subject before I bought an aftermarket manifold, and my conclusion ended up being it's not worth the sacrifice in low/mid range power to jump to a tubular manifold and borla is one of the worst designed ones you could have bought as far as powe / efficiency goes. I could have afforded the most expensive exhaust manifold in the world, but why sacrifice power band for a bit more topend? it seems stupid. I'll go to a crazy tubular design manifold once i need 2 external gates, then i'll have a reason to run a aftermarket manifold. with the fp red its pointless and stupid. Ask people on the forum here and you'll get a similar response to what im giving you.

2. i got ebay ported ss o2 housing nuff said. and i dont run stock exhaust look at my sig for all my mods
some gains yes. It will allow for more flow in your exhaust system. IMO o2 dumps sound like ****, but if you like the sound then go for it. the o2 dump should make your overall car response feel a bit better, as it will open your exhaust up. First thing you should do on these cars is an 3" tbe and mbc imo.
1. i have not bought a manny yet i was leaning more torwards that one but i dont mind getting full race or shearer if you see how much money i have spent does not matter to me really. i have done the research and talked to my tuner reguardless of what you hear a tubular manny on the red will give you noticable power. I understand your midrange talk but its either DDing at speed limited or pushing it at track or road coarse. soo regaurdless you cant have it all lol top end midrange no torque etc sooo many setups its crazy.

i do have a stock system in storage as i have many parts

edit: now if its 20WHP on a mustang dyno gain, then i think i could see it, but if its dynojet 20whp no.
I agree the stock manifold is ugly as hell, which is why mines got a heatshield over it, and the tubular
designed manifolds look gorgeous. If it wasn't for this forum and me researching i would have had the same
borla one you were leaning towards with the black coating. I hope ive helped you somewhat by making a smarter
decision on your choice of parts.

ok dont go with borla then. you can ask plenty of other guys on the forum that know their **** more then i do and they will give you the same response. its a toss up between either shearer or full-race and they are expensive parts, but if you really want a tubular manifold then id go with either of those. sure top ends nice, but if its only a gain of say 20whp i dont see it being worth $1000 do you?
