boost controller question

I'm about to have my boost controller installed on my car. I'm not going to have enough money to get a tune after its installed for a couple weeks. would it be safe to run it that long? and what would be a recommended boost setting until i get a tune? or would it be best to wait until i have the money for the install and the tune? thanks

just wait until you have the money to get a tune as well. you really dont want to turn up the boost unless your tuned for it

i was kinda thinking that but i'm getting some other things done and figured it would be easier to get it all done at once. could i set it back to the stock boost until the time comes to get the tune.and if so what is the stock boost on a evo 9?

Installing anything on the car without a tune will put your car on risk!! why do so???

Dont be in a hurry and wait for some time.. You dont wanna pay more if someting happens!!!

If it is a manual boost controller, I would suggest just waiting until you're ready to get a tune before installing it. It is a really simple installation, and you will see more benefits once you have it retuned afterward.

If you still want to have it installed now, make sure that it is set at near stock boost levels or lower until you get it tuned.

as long as you set your boost to the same or below the stock levels you'll be fine...setting it above stock levels is asking for problems
