If your friends shop has not done dozens of EVO clutch jobs I'd be hesitant to take it there. The absolute #1 reason people are not happy with this clutch or that is because of the install causing issues IMO. Unless they are Evo install gods, they'll need to drop the subframe not to screw the discs upon installation. People refuse to believe it, blame this clutch and that clutch for issues when the clutch was never to blame. Also, it's wise to add one of the wave washers from the OE clutch TOB lock ring to the new pressure plate assembly. Never had a single issue with the TOB becoming disengaged even with NLTS at 8000 rpm using that easy modification.

I'll check with them on everything you told me. There aren't too many shops around here. I live in Columbia, SC. They do a lot of work on Supra's but also work with other cars as well. The guy that was gonna do the clutch install for me has done several clutch jobs for his brother's EVO and a few other's too. Dunno if he has done a twin disc on an EVO but he has done them on honda's. Do you know of any shops in the southeast that you would recommend for me to check out?
