How can you possibly stand behind a turbo when you havent even installed it yet?? Im starting to think you work in FPs marketing department.

i have had a 30r ...now a hta 3582 and beat the **** out of them never blew a turbo

if you are going to run mild boost under 25 lbs sure a stock frame turbo is great.

but if you want to run higher boost they dont last
.
Mine has lasted a long time at 30-32psi. My friends blew at low boost go figure. How many FP Black turbos have failed? I am on the fence on which turbo I want in the long run. I want at this moment either a 3582 mabey 86 or a Black. If I stay 2.0l I will go big. 2.3l then I think the black is a great alternative.

how long is a long time?

i think another issue is there is a diff color and model green...new green...red...this mm red..black...

you either sell your old and buy a new or send it in for and upgrade...

i know when they do blow no one posts cause they get another one..happened to a few people i know they didnt want to bash the turbo or the company.

but they went after a few months..granted these guys are track ****** but still..

you pay that kind of money for a turbo you want it to last.

Just bought a tubular for my red and magnus v5 intake manifold, ported throttle body, o2 dump, speed density setup and some other mods. I should be able to make 530+whp easy on pump gas with the fp red at like 29 psi on a dyno dynamics with a 1.2 correction factor. Last time i was on the dyno I made 480+ at 29 psi 1.2 correction factor, without the magnus intake manifold, ported throttle body, tubular exhaust manifold, speed density setup, and 3 port boost solenoid.

I have yet to drive this FP black car...we'll see...as long as you put down 130+ in the quarter - lets go to the track dog!

I made my first runs at the track with my red in aug. 2008. I put it in late July 2008. I have not had it rebuilt. I did buy just a 80mm cover when they first came out and had Alamo Autosports put it on for me.

nope dont get paid by them lol . i have several friends on here that run it and run there cars with no issues period i have talked to robert about my situation personally when i had the red to upgrade to the black and he spent some time on the phone breaking things down. Did not have to do that with his time. There are failures as nothing is perfect. but they honor them and replace them and nuff said people are stupid to think 35r type turbos etc dont fail nothing is perfect but fp turbos DO WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO DO produce power and results. parts breaking are a part of the game

My red seems to be working fine. 508whp on 31-32lbs measured by defi boost gauge. when i put on the 4 bar map sensor i think im really pushing around 30lbs. well see if i can add a few pounds soon.

my HTA gt3582 with the 1.06 ar t4 twin scrool housing hits 200whp by about 4k rpm on the stock motor with HKS 272's. 20psi by 4k rpm in 3rd gear. Hows does this compare to the new FP black?

In all fairness a proper t4 TS setup is also easily over $5k. So hopefully it's 2.5x better, right?

Epic motorsport did 443 hp & 417 tq on pump gas w/ the fp black at 25 psi. The torque on this turbo is amazing.
