Intake Cam angle position sensor help

Are the cam angle position sensors the same, and interchangeable between intake and exhaust? Between VIII's and IX's?
Can anyone confirm if MD327107 is the intake cam angle position sensor for a IX?
I recently found that my intake cam angle position sensor was cracked, I bought a used one thinking it was interchangeable and I still have a CEL. I can reset it, and drive one time, shut the car off and it will come back on the next start.

I searched here and another forum, but couldn't find an answer. Appreciate any help I can get.

pull the three ten mill bolts that hold the plate over cam sensor, my guess is the trigger wheel fell off. Happened to me already lol

is it painfully obvious how to correct it once you remove the plate? Did you have to reseal it with rtv?

No I didn't reseal it. And yeah once you have that plate off the trigger wheel is either laying there or attached to the cam as it should be. The intake one you cannot put on wrong either, the exhaust cam however will go on correctly or 180 degrees off

The VIII doesn't even have a cam angle sensor on the intake cam, just the exhaust cam.

pulled the cover off, and everything is in place, even when turning the crank with a ratchet. I reset the ECU and I'll see if it comes back when I take my next trip. I'm thinking it has to do with the MIVEC being over advanced when it was tuned, but who knows I just want to get rid of the CEL.

Thanks, I know that, I just wanted to know if the sensor would work in either position and if you could use an 8's exhaust sensor in a 9's intake position.

Back from the dead.
There are two different sensors for the IX, one has a painted dot (Exhaust) and the other does not (Intake). MD327107 is the exhaust but can not find a p/n for the intake. Dealer won't give out this info. knowing you'll purchase from another source and the Parts List on this site only has one number.

Based on my previous research

MR507814
Intake sensor, camshaft position.

Its diff shape and angled, slightly more expensive that the exhaust sensor.
