evo ix drain plug stripped oil pan question

Its Shellac, IDK but it works. I would read the bottle but it tends to drip over the edge and dries like a resin so i can't make it out lol. You have to give it plenty of time to setup is the only thing, I guess it would be similar to liquid Teflon but dries harder.

I ran into the same exact problem a couple days ago and have been going to diff shops to see if they can take it off.... And they can't. So I need to replace my oil pan too so I was wondering what you ended up doing

Also do you need to replace return tube and gasket? How difficult is the job?

I replaced the gasket it was like two bucks and used Indian head gasket on it. Job wasn't to bad gotta move starte FYI

you have to remove the starter, dp, and cross bars. then just the how many ever 12 or so pan bolts. the pan is RTV'd on. i've used Hondabond and generic autozone rtv and both work aslong as its gray. make sure you don't bend the pan removing it depending on the previous RTV job it could be sealed up pretty good.

I personally wouldn't hesitate to use the Hondabond HT in this particular application.
