Soo, doing cams + cam gears tonite...

And im afraid to drive it hard after before tuning. My car is tuned now for the boltons that I have. All we are going to do is adjust the idle, no chance to tune.

Can I drive it hard or baby?
Got a 35R going in in about a week so will of course get tuned shortly after

You should wait on the install and do it all at once. Install and tune. But for the love of pizza, don't get on it with out a tune

Do the turbo upgrade and cams in one shot. Do the tune the next day. Do not get on it without getting tuned. The turbo and cams will be moving WAY more air then what you're running now.

The thing is that's not an option. Its a daily driver and we are doing it after work. The turbo will be done over a weekend, trying to save some time and get cams out the way first.
Dammit, I wish I knew how to tune

Well, if you stay out of boost, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to drive it to the tuner the next day. You just have to have self control to stay out of boost. Or you could try and contact your tuner, try and get a base map from them. Then just flash it yourself, but you still have to be careful and stay out of boost. Of course, you'll have to buy a Tactrix cable, or borrow one from somebody. Hope that helps.

Just stay out of boost. It'll be fine.

If you get the staying out of boost part, why would you drive it at 5psi with a new turbo cams and no tune?
