Attention All Aluminum Rod Engine Owners....
dont toot your horn . 348 is still a very heavy piston for an aluminum rod setup. dumb if you ask me. and those tapered wall pins are rated for 100hp per hole big guy. there gonna flex like crazy with just 400tq. but have at it. I dont really care what you do or how you do it.

very sure. most shelf stock pistons are supplied with a lightweight .150 wall pin. stock evo 8 pins are .240 thick. material doesnt matter. it needs to be thick to minimize pin flex.
^ The Idiot I purchased car from.... Correct, there was no traces of loc tite. If you read my previous post prior to the issue, it was a well built set-up assembled by a Moron. It's my problem now, I'm in process of buying replacement crank & doing further cyl head improvements. But wanted to update, due to Aluminum rods. Im on the fence about keeping them in, I believe I will, just concerned about life expectancy with Street driving & Heat cycling.
That motor is sitting in the old white drag car and hasnt been run in awhile...it was 25k or so when it got pulled out of Luke's and went into that. We do recommend a big oil cooler setup on them though, Our 8.5x11 oil cooler kit is plenty.
