@jc evo, as far as I know they are aluminum rods.

Eagle Rods are steel rods. But that's a good thing. I can't imagine a worse proposition than an Eagle branded (i.e. Made in China) aluminum rod.

I never heard of eagle making aluminum rods.

actually its not very common at all, and honestly i dont got on this site much, only when i cant find what i need on socalevo.net, in all honesty i did think they were aluminum, but you knowing that there steel is relief, at least that, that part shouldnt fail...haha

Alright guys back to the top =) I going with a full build on my evo now GRP Aluminum Connecting Rods is what I am looking for What pistons do you aluminum rod guys recommened I want to put Down 800+ I have a built head gsc 272 beehive springs ect... SO revving wont be a problem.....2.0 Is what I want but what compression should I go with 9:1 or something different Let me know what you guys recommened for this setup Im looking to go all out!!

Wiseco HD 1400. Those things are nuts.

As for compression... well... more compression, more off-boost power... AND on boost power... if you're running E85 or race fuel... might as well go higher in the compression.

I'm running 10.5:1 on a 2.4 with a ball bearing FP Black on 27-28psi. (30 is pushing it on a chance of bad gas with that compression)

So it depends what you're doing.
