Wow that Mikey guy knows his stuff. Thanks for answering most of the 2.4 build questions I had. I just don't understand why you're not going with a larger oil pan.

Everything will but the water pump. There is a spacer you can buy that will make it bolt right up. You also need a longer timing belt, from the 4g64.

Just what Nickie said. You need a water pump spacer and a 4g64 belt.

I have reservations about the Tail wastegate because the d@mn thing is massive and shiny. I really want something that is understated. Is there a BOV that will hold 35+ psi with no partial throttle issues that is gloss or flat black?

I guess if it comes down to it, I can mount the BOV somewhere on the bottom of the UICP and extend the line.

Aaron is my master! I am going with the AMS oil Pan. It has been on order for a few weeks now. Just waiting...

MAP or SBR usually always have the water pump adapter in stock, you can also get the correct timing belt from SBR too. I would also look into a PE head gasket.

MAPerformance Water Pump Adapter Plate (Evo 8 / 9)

Also, the 2.0 timing belt can be used (helpful if you prefer to go with an aftermarket Kevlar option) but it will be a tight fit and you must degree your cams.

^ Yep grab a cam gear because your cam timing will be off.

Dang, can't get my questions answered in my own thread.

I will also be tapping and plugging the EGR tube in the head with the appropriate ECU mods. Should I do this after or before sending the head to be ported?

Is there a BOV that will hold 35+ psi with no partial throttle issues that is gloss or flat black?

4G64 timing belt is the same part number from the factory, the DOHC belt is the same so i am not sure why there is any reason to call it something else? Cams will need to be degreed regardless, we prefer to weld up the waterpump rather than use the spacer since it reduces a gasket in the mix.

Are you saying the 4g64 timing belt is the same as the 4g63?

Would anyone mind posting up a picture of what the ACTUAL MIVEC oil feed looks like off the back of the head? I know where it is, but I can't remember what it looks like.

Turbo, Head, EM, IM, and misc parts ship out to FP and MAP this week!
