Just gonna be honest, I skipped everything but the first three posts of this thread. Kit quality, nozzle placement, and failsafe implementation are key. I ran meth on my car for 50k miles, 50,000! Never had issues like this.

Has ur failsafe ever activated?
Regarding thread title is this with meth only and not water?
sorry to ask again , but will using forged piston afect the picture ? or it will do the same bad effect , sorry but no e85 here where i live , and c16 is very expensive.
i was planning on using meth , but now I have my doubts.

consider doing direct port meth w/ 1 m2 nozzle in each intake runner.
slightly off the topic of meth, but where do you guys go to find e85 stations? i found a .gov website, but im not sure how often its updated. there are stations surrounding me, but they are all either in heavily traffic areas, or a decent drive.
i have a meth kit on my car, but its not been running. im still debating running it 50/50, or running dual e85/90octane****gas tune (school in a city that doesnt pump above 90). Ill probably end up doing a 93/90oct map switch tune

For the guys that have chimed in and said they have been running meth for a long time with no issues,...........you are the 10% Mike is referring to. Fact of the matter is doesn't MATTER how someone was driving their car at point of failure. You hear way more cars going kaboom with meth then with E85.
Talking about tuning is irrelevant as well because you can blow a stock motor up with improper tuning so that a variable you can't include.
You have a reputable shop sharing knowledge not based on opinion but based on FACT in his experience (IE what he sees running through his successful shop) and he is sharing that.
I'll take AWD and ER talking about their sucesses based on experience then a few people saying they've had no issues (compared to the threads talking about meth failing on their car) anyday.
If you dont have E85 near to you then I understand your plight. Go with a bigger turbo and run pump.....or take your chances with Meth....you've been warned...you've seen the data, you've heard what AWD has EXPERIENCED.
You've been armed with the knowledge to make an informed decision.
If E was within 30-50 mile radius of me I would still run it everyday. Its by far the best mod I made to my car. I accidently tripped my map switch and damaged my motor (90 compression in #1 cylinder) and I still have no regrets about going E85. Just gives me a reason to open the motor up and go for more power safely on E85.
BTW Mike I PM you a few days ago not sure if you got it. Had some questions on route to take.
