bc 272 cams any good?
Its the specs (duration and centerline vs lift) that are the issue not cam breakage. You dont want to understand that and thats okay. America is a free country and you are more than welcome to have a slower car and spend money to keep it slow. It gives my customers more cars to beat.

ive never said that my bc cams r the best. what ive been saying is that everyone talks **** on them as if they r inferior to all. theres always better combos coming out. doesnt mean the old ones deserve to b disrespected. obviously john thinks he makes no power with bc. i could careless cause ive heard nothing interesting about cars from ur shop in quite awhile. maybe some day u will get enough customers that instead of surfing the forum at this time of night u can work on their cars. best wishes mr. bradley.
You didn't even have a damn EVO when these cams were released. Everyone was running HKS 272's back then these were showing the SAME power gains ON EVO VIII's as the HKS pieces for 200+ less so for me NO BRAINER30/30 gain was not smoke and mirrors Mr. Bandwagon Urrgghh
There was no time and time again then. No one here suggest buying the BC cams now that would be silly. But they will make power on an VIII so for the 200 I'll sell them for once I take them out I'm positive someone will but them
bc 272 will gain power over stock cams for sure, just not as much as gsc or kelford period. Haha rockmanX, you been cought started jumping on a bandwagon, haaaaa. Judge by what u know and experienced dude . Dont just listen to ANYBODY.
It is well documented that they do not make as much power as Kelfords or GSCs, but they absolutely make more power than the stock cams, can anyone refute that statement? Saying that they are crap is like saying that any turbo except the one that makes the most power (45R or whatever it is now) is crap, just a stupid statement...
Again, you are going by what you think that you heard and not by your experience, the fact remains that they do make more than stock by a good margin.
Read mine post #69 again please, i did not listen to TTP ENGEERING ok. I said bc272 gain some power but not as much as keford , gsc. I had bc272 once, they do gain around 20whp on dyno. We swap on gsc s2 and pick up some more. I am not just throwing all these post without experienced anything mister.
I've been running BC272's for 25k miles and have had NO problems with them. At the track I rev out to 8k with out a problem. My car is a DD and did consistent 12.40x (before my turbo and tune). I bought them when they first came out.
Maybe BC fell off and now has china building them?? So find an old set or spend the extra $300 on HKS cams.
BTW, my drive-ability is almost close to stock. My car does not have a rough idle. It's all in the tune. Find a good tuner and you can get some pretty good performance out of these cams for the fraction of the cost for other name-brand cams. I also chose these because I did not want to upgrade my valvetrain (hence the DD)
