advice needed on main bearings evo 9
i used ACL's in mine, but i had to go 0.025mm oversize (1 thou) because i polished the crank and had the mains tunnel line honed because of mains stud upgrade.
What clearances are you going for?
I did mine to 0.06mm - 0.065mm (2.4 to 2.6 thou)

i need a stock size just replacing the old ones. i try to order the ACL bearings from a few places but they told me that those are on back order and need to wait a few weeks. do you guys know where i can get them ?
Thanks for the referrals guys
The ACL main bearings are in fact on backorder in standard size
In the meantime we have been recommending Cosworth or King bearings as replacements. Keep in mind that these are the main bearings which are much less prone to failure in the 4g63 than the rod bearings which are readily available in ACL's race series, I wouldn't hesitate to run either of the above mentioned bearings regardless of the application / desired usage.

I haven't heard, it looks like we placed a stocking order on 9/8 that has yet to be filled
I just heard from my ACL rep that fill rates will be improving in the very near future, but until then we have to explore other options like I mentioned above. In regards to ACL going out of business I haven't heard anything of the sort, I have heard that there was some merger/acquisition that is allowing them to launch a new line and focus more on the race series as the OE business will be moving to another factory...
