I was going to make my own and was looking for a used one to use for mock up when I stumbled onto this. What do you guys think?

i just did some welding to my front mount to make it solid, then i started to think i might just weld up an entire cross member to try and cut some weight...this looks to be a nice alternative to the ams/buschur pieces. Nice find! i might try this out.
I didn't even know it was solid until I pulled the transmission. previous owner had it installed. no vibrations at all! you would notice vibrations from the driver's side and rear mount, I believe.

Link to any of the cracked ones? That's the first I've heard of it.
Looks like 1"x0.6" aluminum. Might be 1-1/2"x0.6" though. Either way, it's about 1/7th as stiff as the AMS bar.
Tubing is much more effective at carrying bending loads then solid flat stock bending about the thin direction.
