What do you think about this?

I was going to make my own and was looking for a used one to use for mock up when I stumbled onto this. What do you guys think?

i just did some welding to my front mount to make it solid, then i started to think i might just weld up an entire cross member to try and cut some weight...this looks to be a nice alternative to the ams/buschur pieces. Nice find! i might try this out.

Did you get any bad vibrations from it being a solid mount?

I didn't even know it was solid until I pulled the transmission. previous owner had it installed. no vibrations at all! you would notice vibrations from the driver's side and rear mount, I believe.

Its a flat peice of aluminum, looks like it would flex quite a bit.

I would be careful with that...the Steel (moly) ones have cracked, i dont see this being stronger.

Link to any of the cracked ones? That's the first I've heard of it.

Looks like 1"x0.6" aluminum. Might be 1-1/2"x0.6" though. Either way, it's about 1/7th as stiff as the AMS bar.

Tubing is much more effective at carrying bending loads then solid flat stock bending about the thin direction.

Well mine (Bushur Lightweight Bar) has not cracked yet but yet i keep getting reminded a lot at meets that it will crack. And i am sure some has, Very possible if the other mounts are worn and the Solid mount now takes the load. I replaced the other mounts to Keep this from happening. It is working for me...how is yours?

When it does i will make a post on the internet to make it true for you ok
