FP warranties suck to begin with..Its like having a turbo without one. I am sure some justifications to get out of warranties are sound based on certain situations, however they will use any excuse to get out of the warranty, regardless of fault.

Might you have some pictures of your EGR -> pressure sensor install that you can post? It'd be cool to see as guidance for doing mine. Wondering where you put all the copper coil.

Tnx

best place to take reading is on intake mani side. the egr port goes through head. exhaust gas is very hot. will kill most sensors instantly. the intake side will be cooler. even then you need to use a copper line about 18 inches coiled up before sensor to allows gas to cool.

Been following this thread for awhile, broke down and bought the 11.5 hotside. Installed with no problems everything works fine. Finally went in form a tune last week at English. Made 333whp and 319ft lbs at 24psi on pump gas. Thought I'd post and let you all know some numbers, not many dyno results on this thread. I thought power was good not much money invested and basically bolt ons.

Do have more plans in the future for power was just looking for now good decent power my daily driver.

Mods are as followed:

04 evo 8 ssl
Stock bottom end
Stock head
Stock 8 turbo with 11.5 hotside
Tomei expreme turbo manifold
ETS lower intercooler pipe
ETS 3.0in intercooler
Walbro 255lbh
Perrin intake
Spark tech cop
O2 dump
3in down pipe
3in tbe
3in test pipe
Hallman mbc

Was the turbine housing the only change since your last tune? If so, do you have an idea of power before?
Do you have any idea what your boost curve looks like?
How much more laggy is the turbo now?
What octane is your street gas?

Thanks!

This was the first time I got a tune on what I have put on my evo, so unfortunately no numbers before. Compared to the smaller 9.8 hotside the boost curve is the same, turbo not laggy at all maybe 100 rpms slower but really hard to tell, really more noticeable up top, pulls real hard in upper rpms. Octane in my area is 92.

GREAT power without cams. But time for cams, you can get 370WHP Dynojet if need be with the proper cams.

Hmm I wonder if this is worth doing at my level. I am making around 396/400 MD @ 26psi but I want more out of my stock 8 turbo..

Yes I thought it was good power with out cams also and Aaron at English said good. Cams and meth injection I think are my next mods. But haven't fully decided, but cams for sure.

I just read all 30 pages.. No results really, wishihadanevo never posted dyno plots..

Evo81234, you had really impressive dyno #'s on pump with no cams.. Congrats

Is this a viable modification? I am really interested in some before/ after results comparing the 10.5 vs 11.5.

I intended on doing a before and after, but one thing led to another and I changed way to many variables in my setup for it to be even close to accuarte. Before I made 350 @20 psi with the 11.5cm housing & ATP 3" O2 housing, but had changed the exhaust manifold and had a massive boost leak also. Then by the time I fixed everything and it was all said and done I had swapped to a Wilson intake manifold and switched to a Works O2 housing and a smaller exhaust system. My current setup made 360 @ 25 psi holding 20ish out the top. The most my car has made is 385 @ 27 psi on a Buschur ported 10.5cm housing, QTP O2 dump, stock unported exhaust manifold, Magnus SMIM and ETS 3.5 TBE a couple years back. Aaron @ English Racing has all of my dyno plots from when I changed the housing.

That's good power for sure, especially with a massive boost leak. I understand running on the dyno is not free, didnt mean to call you out bud I am just on the verge of buying one for testing purposes. Thanks for following up

No worries I didnt take it the wrong way, but I could see how people might see it as not following through. Overall, Ive been running this housing for a couple years now w/ no issues (knock on wood) and the power seems to be there.

Rebumpin this as I would love to see wat this housing would do on an FP Black at the top of the RPM band. I would guess it would be pretty decide. There has to be sumone out there that has done it.
