i just had a new trans and aps intake put on my evo 8. when we started it up it ran fine but when you touch the throttle it squeals like a stuck pig. we removed the intake and it stops but once the intake pipe is put back on it queals again. it sounds like it is coming from the turbo. anyone have any idea whats going on?

Sounds like it's from the intake itself. Do you have the stock intake pipe?

 

car is at the shop so i cant upload a video, i dont have any stock intake. it didnt make this noise before. i even took the aps intake off and it still makes the squealing noise when you tap the throttle.

 

Oh ok, cause in your OP it said squeal stops after you remove the intake.

 

if i remove any part of the intake or intercooler it wont squeal

Yes im on a stock turbo with less than 2,000 miles

 

Any updates ?

My started doing the same exact thing like a bad serpentine belt squeal at idle or while revving!!
