The evo8 head not fitting is untrue. PTV clearance if only a issue if you tryed running big cams. C/R isnt a issue with a tune. Your statement about the max rpm is untrue. The r/s ratio and no oil squirters has NOTHING to do with why a stock 4g64 cant or shouldnt be rev'd about 7-7.5k. Its becasue of a few reasons none of which are those. A built 2.4l can be rev'd out to 9k without oil squirters, dont know who told you that one.

PM'd OP.

I'm just saying its not recommended on OEM rods and pistons to go past 7500, unless its built, and this is the world's cheapest build, aren't the pistons cast anyways?

You will either put a lot of people in aww or just prove everything they are saying is true. Your money so your gain or your loss. Just don't come back to forum talking depressed cause you blew a rod through the block. Good luck with build.

You need to film your car being tuned not for anything but id like to see that car pull hard and make good numbers on the dyno, or be like damn when it shoots a rod out the block, be a good youtube video either way haha

LOL! That's beautifully cheap. I hope the reliability is still there!

I've mostly been trying to get all the parts together to do the swap.. so I can just take a full weekend and finish it. Still need to order my water pump spacer, but other than that I've got everything I need. Next update should show some progress, or that I sold the whole project. $6000 if anybody is interested!! Title in hand.

I've blown up WAY more expensive motors than this.. I wouldn't lose any sleep over grenading the 2.4.
