To install the front, it is an easy slip in to the transfer case, same as the Quaife. But to install the center diff, you need to R&I the transmission (about $500) and then open up the tranny and install the center diff inside. Figure about $300 labor for that. You spend double for the KAAZ. For this you get two clutch type diffs making humping noises in parking lot turns. Reading this message board, I dont get the impression the average evo-m guy would put up with that much racket. I sell KAAZ too so I dont have any problem with getting anyone a KAAZ for a good price, it just adds up quick (~$3,000 installed) and you get the extra noise.

So is this setup available or not? I called and talked to someone there and they said no. So I emailed you directly and got a reply from Ty saying that it doesn't exist.

yea lets get an update please! How much testing has been done so far? Have you taken it back out to examine what effects it had? My front diff is making noise, and I need to start thinking about what I'm gonna do about it! Thanks for the effort guys!

Robi is at the track with the Quaife again this weekend. Later this week we'll pull the transfer case and open it up to have a look and check for any odd wear. If it looks good, we'll place the order.

KAAZ:
The front diff fits in the transfer case. But the center diff requires a few mods to fit in the tranny. It isnt just a US thing, it is with any of them. KAAZ will sell us (RRE) one because they trust us to not set our hair on fire and run screaming bloody murder to some message board about how it didnt fit perfect and it cost too much money to install. They have sold a few to Australia and they didnt ***** about the necessary mods. But KAAZ USA does not get the same happy feeling about how the average US customer will react so they are not offering it for sale in the USA at this time.

OK, just back from FLOGGING my EVO for 3 track days (well 2 but thats a different story) Bad news I was successful in breaking my drivetrain GOOD news is the Quaife didn't whimper even once...10+ drag launches leaving the pits, 30+ 2 wheels in the air full throttle in 3rd gear landings (like the Sparco EVO time attack picts) multiple curbs and ruts at the track edge (was asked to quit throwing dirt off the apexes so the REAL race cars could keep up) THE QUAIFE IS ROBI TESTED AND I LIKE!!! I'll be at RRE and take the unit out for inspection tuesday ..Stay tuned campers...Oh before all the nimrods start *****ing NO, NONE, ZERO, AKA F***ING NOTHING problems with the ABS or off power/low power turn in AND YES I TESTED THE TRAILBRAKE DRIVING STYLE TOO AND ALL IT DID WAS OVERHEAT THE LEFT FRONT 1 LAP SOONER. the suspension setup needs some MAJOR rethinking but Mueller will be on it soon... D*MN this was a HOOT...

Get your $$$'s out sell the wife and Kids do what you have to...if your seriously tracking your car and you don't have a Quaife you buds will ask "I thought you were serious???"

Is Quaife still available?

I'm looking for one for my EVO6, using it for racing. Orig viscous is useless under 690Nm.

I'm located in Finland, could you advise the nearest dealer ? If there will be another group buy(assuming it's still required) I'm in.

Thanks !

I remember one or two total that let go, which were found to have not been shimmed correctly prior to Quaife looking at them. Show me another company who warranties their products, including racing, in the import market.
I think brembo warranties their slotted rotors for the evo

Whining sounds usually means worn bearings and shouldn't have anything to do w/ the differential itself. If someone could find a part number for and source the front diff bearings, you could replace it while installing the diff.

Sounds like a fire engine under your car at speed? If so, let's find those bearings --- I'll need them!

Maybe you can just take the car in for a warranty repair?
