I'll slide a old bearing on it and see if it scratches the bearing.. if not i guess thats my answer. its just a tiny scratch.. it barely can be felt by your fingernail when you run right over it.

overall im very satisfied with your machine work.. so dont think im not. we checked the bore on the cylinders up and down and it was pretty good.. no eggshaping etc, the work was done right.

If scratched at all it needs to be lightly polished.

i did not scratch the crank i can promise you that positive. Tom took it out of the bag you gave me and he noticed it right away. As i recall i never examined the crank kind of just took it and left. i am a NOOB at what to look for clearly.

took it to a local machine shop, talked to them on the phone he told me to bring it by so he could look at it. Both the people there said it was fine, but he said i could REDUE it but DONT have too. he said if the scratches were from left to right it would be alot worse then what it is.

BUT REGUARDLESS GETTING IT SCRATCHED UP AND BLAMING ME! haha thats a bunch of B*llsh*t -1 to JAM in my books.

Didnt give me a heads up on the block trimming, you can aruge that wasnt ur problem FINE but telling me never hurts to someone doing it the first time

hopefully it at-least runs all let everyone know how that goes!

Tom what is your assembled turning torque?
What was your side clearance on the con rods to the crank?

Hey Ernie,

I didnt measure the crank torque, but i will do it tomorrow and let you know.

I will say it was pretty easy to turn the engine after everything was assembled, minus the fact it hit the block half way

I didnt check the side clearance of the rods yet. ill let you know though what it is when i measure it. should be within the factory spec of .004 - .009

the rods dont have to much side to side play compared to my buschur engine. its built pretty tight.

yea lets hope. There is nothing we did to damage the block for 1. and we did everything 100% right. putting it back together again is building a second motor

Handling the situation professionaly is half the battle Tony.

Obviously you've been doing this far longer than Tom has and that's not lost on anybody.
